Eco-Anxiety – How to Move from Despair to Action

Offers strategies for moving from despair to action, so we can make a difference towards our future on this planet

The extent, pace and projection of ecological collapse this planet is going through is overwhelming. The external impact of forest fires, floods and extreme weather is easy to see, but what of the emotional and psychological damage within us? Climate psychology has become a new field as more and more people are experiencing eco-anxiety.

This workshop explores your relationship to the crisis that is unfolding and how acknowledgement and acceptance of our fear and grief move us into action. Statistics and threat warnings only get us so far, we must have an emotional connection to the challenge and our actions, if we are to achieve anything.

What is the importance of grief, gratitude and nature connection? What is intrinsic hope and why is it so important?

This workshop confronts what so many of us are trying to avoid. It will leave you with some powerful questions to consider and some time to reflect on how you wish to respond to what will be an ever increasing challenge in our lives.

Key Outputs:

  • Participants will leave with a better understanding of their concerns, triggers and behaviours related to climate change.

  • Empowers participants with practical strategies to deal with Eco-Anxiety.

  • Provides examples of action we can take.

  • Inspires people into action and increase ‘intrinsic hope’.
