Foods & Moods

Examines the relationship between nutrition and emotions, to support feeling more balanced and grounded.

Do you find your mood rollercoasters throughout your day? Or that your wired mind has turned you into a nocturnal animal? What about those butterflies in your stomach – ever wondered why and how our gut communicates with our brain? The foods we consume can have a substantial effect on our mood and mental wellbeing.

This workshop shares the link between certain foods and poor mood and teaches the foods that should be included in our diet to create our ‘happy hormones’ and support the body and mind during times of stress and poor mental health.

Participants will also learn about the fascinating connection between the mind and the gut (otherwise known as the ‘second brain’) and how to nurture gut health. It teaches which foods can support us to feel more grounded and balanced and provides an appreciation of how lifestyle imbalances can lead to emotional cravings that may be filled with food. It also explains the impact of stimulants such as caffeine and alcohol on mood, and looks at stress eating and how to manage it.
