Connecting with your Movement Motivation

Provides inspiration, education and practical strategies to support participants to find or reconnect with their motivation to move more.

We all know that we should be moving more, sitting less and generally leading a more active lifestyle. But life gets in the way, and often taking time to exercise falls to the bottom of our to do list.

But taking regular exercise has big health benefits for both our physical and mental health. This workshop is designed to support participants in finding or reconnecting with their motivation to move and share practical strategies to immediately begin to make positive change to benefit overall health and wellbeing.

This introductory workshop works as a standalone session when booked in isolation however it can form part of a more in depth six module series, click here to find out more

In this session we get clear on what healthy movement is and we dive into the psychology of making healthy habits - the key to sustainable change. Participants will learn about latest research findings on the benefits of movement, the health consequences of sedentary life and the links between posture and mood. Participants will also get clear on their personal motivators for infusing more movement into your day.

The session will explain the key principles to making habits that stick, and share a quick, simple and effective morning routine to start your day with purpose and energy.

No matter where you are at with your levels of physical activity, be that very active, not active at all, or anywhere in between, this workshop series is designed to provide inspiration and strategies for everyone.

This workshop and the series is delivered by Work Well Being Associate Suzy, a Chartered Psychologist, Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer and Health Coach. Her work draws on all of these modalities.
