Well Woman: Physical Health

Empowers participants with the knowledge of the biological changes female body's face throughout life and how to navigate these with greater ease.

Women's bodies go through intense change throughout their lives. Hormonal fluctuations during teenage years, pregnancy and menopause have a profound effect on health and wellbeing and yet are rarely discussed. There's often conflicting information on how to manage changes in the body and how women can help themselves during these changes.

During this workshop a specialist physiotherapist takes participants through the role of hormones in female health - from teenage years to pregnancy and menopause. It explores how to strengthen pelvic muscles after pregnancy and maintain fitness levels through whatever changes the body is going through. The workshop takes a closer look at female bone health and the benefits of tailored exercise that can improve bone density during the menopause.

This workshop is suitable for all ages. Participants will leave the workshop empowered with the knowledge of how to take care of their body throughout the changes of life.
