Mental Health Check-ins for First Aiders or Buddies

Regular check-in sessions for any employee who has undertaken mental health awareness training, to provide ongoing support and education.

Mental Health awareness training touches on many aspects of a very complex area. The real learning comes when, at your desk and with your teams, matters arise that give cause for reflection, concern, questions and personal challenges for growth.

The intention of these regular check-in sessions is to keep the commitment to supporting the mental health of all staff moving forward, to address questions around mental health and to promote a culture of wellbeing for everyone. Learning topics can be tailored to address current and relevant challenges that are being faced within the business.

The check-ins provide participants with an opportunity to reflect on and revisit “mental health at work” and presents a forum in which they can bring their personal reflections and share learning. The check-ins are a place to discuss challenges and solutions together and provide opportunity to expand knowledge on a particular mental health topic such as anxiety, mastering emotions and communication.

They are suitable for any group of employees who has already undertaken some form of mental health awareness training, potentially the Mental Health First Aiders or Mental Health Buddies courses.

How it Works:

  • Duration: 90 minutes. We suggest these are run on a monthly basis.

  • Capacity: 16 - all of whom must have already completed some mental health awareness training

  • Location: Online or a suitable space in your office for the sessions to take place, ideally somewhere that is quiet and provides a level of privacy.
