Anti Desk Yoga

Teaches how to combat the physical effects of sitting at a desk all day

It’s no surprise that sitting at a desk all day is not good for our health. Excessive sitting has been linked to everything from increased risk of obesity and depression to heart disease. So how can we minimise these negative effects?

The reality is that we can’t always get up and leave to go to a full hour yoga class, as and when we want. However research has shown that getting up to move a little every 30 minutes is enough to minimise the negative health impact of being desk based. So instead of feeling fidgety with discomfort, this session teaches a selection of top tricks and poses to do at the desk, to induce a feel-good stretch that will leave participants tension-free and energised for the rest of the day.

No change of clothes or prior experience of yoga is necessary, this class is intended to be accessible to all teaching exercises to do at any time in any place.
