Developing Leadership
18th March, 16.00-17.00
Join us to gain an understanding of your personal leadership style to enable you to lead with greater presence and impact.
Whatever your personal story of leadership, you are taking the first steps on a life-enhancing journey which promises to fulfil your potential. But, as with any meaningful journey, there are dangers if you don’t actively consider who you are and who you want to be as a leader. To lead you need to engage, and to engage you need integrity.
This workshop supports you to discover how to use your values and purpose to energise yourself and those around you. It explores how to develop your range of leadership styles so you can successfully lead through any circumstances. The workshop also shares strategies on how to face storms and emerge stronger.
You will leave the workshop with a tool-kit of support designed to improve decision-making, direction, confidence, communication, motivation, engagement, resilience, inspiration, creativity, emotional intelligence and energy. This workshop is essential for managers and anyone with leadership as a core competency.
This workshop is delivered by Fiona Buckland, a Co-Active Life Coach and facilitator, a Fulbright scholar and published author, who is a faculty member of The School of Life and leads Guardian Masterclasses.
How to Find Balance with Technology
15th April, 16.00-17.00
Join us to learn how to live in balance with your technology so that you enjoy the benefits without the costs.
Technology gives us freedom, connects us across the globe and gives us access to a world of information. And yet if we are not careful, we can develop unhealthy relationships with our phones and computers. One study suggests we’re online for an average of 24 hours in a single week.
Often, we use our phones as a distraction when facing a challenge. When we repeat this behaviour enough times it becomes unhealthy and reduces our resilience to face the challenges of life with balance and confidence. Technology can interfere with sleep and cause us to be more irritable and unstable.
This workshop will help you generate healthy boundaries with your technology that work for you. You’ll learn how to change the settings on your smartphone so it demands less of your attention and is less addictive. We’ll explore how to break negative habits of addictive use so that you are more resilient and in control of your use of technology.
You will leave the workshop with a personal action plan to reduce unnecessary use and enjoy getting the most benefit from technology.
This workshop is delivered by Certified Professional Co-active Coach Hannah Massarella. Hannah is an expert in self compassion and stress management and has helped many organisations and individuals to build resilience and grow.
